With over two decades of Pilates practice and a teaching career that began in early 2013, Denise brings a wealth of experience and passion to The Performance Clinic in Low Fell. Her journey into Pilates began in 2003 and was cemented as a personal recovery tool following a hysterectomy in 2007, a pivotal moment that inspired her to become a certified instructor. Trained with Pilates Union UK, Denise holds a CYQ Level 3 accreditation, specialising in both mat and reformer classes.
Denise offers a diverse range of classes, catering to groups and individuals alike, utilising small equipment and the reformer machine. Her classes are designed to support rehabilitation, reduce stress, and enhance overall fitness and wellbeing. She is particularly skilled in tailoring sessions to meet the specific needs of her clients, whether they seek pain reduction, improved posture, or general fitness.
Her qualifications are extensive, including a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates, certifications in Pilates for Osteoporosis and Scoliosis, and a Meditation Instructor’s Diploma. Denise’s expertise is further enriched by her personal health journey, having overcome the challenges posed by a benign brain tumour diagnosed in 2013 and again in 2018. This experience led her to establish her own business, Candopilates, with the aim of inspiring others through her story of resilience and recovery.
Denise’s classes are intimate, with group sizes capped at five to ensure personalised attention. She also offers private one-to-one sessions for those seeking a customised fitness plan. Her approach is holistic, beginning with an individual assessment to create a Pilates health plan tailored to each client’s needs, whether in-studio or at home.
As a mother of two and grandmother of three, Denise understands the importance of balancing family life with personal wellbeing. Her dedication to Pilates is not just a profession but a way of life, one that she eagerly shares with her clients. Denise invites you to join her at The Performance Clinic, where her caring and supportive environment promises to make a real difference in your health and wellbeing.
